Whenever I see a sea turtle, I feel deeply connected. There is something special about sharing the water with these extraordinary creatures. If one happens to venture close by, you know you are in good company.
Spending time with sea turtles is so relaxing. It’s like listening to a long forgotten story and it takes you away to another time and place. I think it’s time I go listen to some more turtle tales.

My husband and I took our two kids on vacation for our wedding anniversary. It was the kids' first time scuba diving. I told the dive master that it would make our vacation if we could see a sea turtle. He said “Not to worry, I am the sea turtle whisperer.” True to his word, we were just about at the end of our dive when the turtle whisperer found this sea turtle. I was so excited that we were able to swim with him and get the photograph that I used to paint this picture! There is something truly calming and peaceful about swimming underwater with these graceful creatures.
