Aspen groves are special places. I love listening to the leaves shimmer in the breeze. Having a wolf appear among the beautiful white bark makes it all the more special.

Silent Strength
Original 30" x 40" Acrylic on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
Original piece - $4,200 SOLD
Based on photograph by Harlan B. Cooper
When I saw the photograph of this ram, the first thing I thought was how powerful and strong he looked. It is a quiet sort of power, not boastful, but full of confidence. It is the kind of confidence that comes from knowing who you are and that you are capable of handling whatever the future has in store for you.

Glacier Gal
Original 20”x16” Acrylic on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
Original piece - $1,600 Available
Glacier is one of my favorite places to hike. Whenever I get out of the crowds and into the mountains I am greeted by so many different forms of wildlife. Marmots are some of my favorites as they always seem to be so curious and good-natured.
Screaming Eagle
Original 24" x 30" Acrylic on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
based on a photograph by Rick Paris - www.rickparis.com

This eagle is screaming “Stop It!” Sometimes that is exactly how I feel. My kids will tell you that the one thing that really upsets me is when they are arguing. When I saw the photograph it made me think maybe this eagle just wants the fighting to stop.
Evening Warmth
Original 48” x 24” Acrylic on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
Original piece - $6,912 SOLD
I love sunlight. The way it hits the antlers on this elk made me feel the warmth of it. There is something completely relaxing about basking in the sunshine, but even more so when it is in the middle of the wilderness.
Elusive One
Original 16” x 20” Acrylic on Canvas Panel (Framed)
Original piece - $1,250 Available
I love seeing a bull moose with full antlers because it happens on such a rare occasion. It seems that I should see them more often because I live in Montana, but they remain elusive to me. I can’t tell you how many times someone has said, “Oh, you just missed him!” My favorite place for spotting these beauties is up at Fisher Cap Lake in Glacier National Park. I have seen them twice in the middle of the lake as they stick their heads under the water to feed in the twilight. It is mesmerizing.

Blue Gaze
Original 12” x 24” Acrylic on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
Original piece - $1,290 SOLD
This piece was a commissioned work for a client who wanted a special anniversary present for his wife. She has a love for and a connection to Great Blue Herons. It was absolutely wonderful working with someone who is so clearly in love with his wife. I also enjoyed working on this piece because of what it brought into my life. Almost every time I take a walk along the Clark Fork River, I see a Great Blue Heron and they always give me a sense of peace. They seem to be relaxed, just taking in the incredible beauty all around them. Painting this reminded me to take time, slow down, and enjoy my surroundings.
